Listening First
Out with an ACL tear, Maya feels disconnected and overwhelmed. She’s looking for support that actually gets young athletes.
Juggling rehab and college, Jordan doesn’t want fluff — just quick, reliable guidance that fits his schedule.
Morgan’s recovering from a running injury while working full-time. She needs simple, no-fuss support she can trust.
Finding the Gaps
What we found:
· Most platforms focused only on workouts — no emotional support
· Advice scattered across Reddit, YouTube, and blogs
· No place to share recovery stories or connect with others
· Generic content that didn’t feel personal or motivating
There was no space that truly supported injured athletes — especially younger ones — in a meaningful way.
That was the gap OuchySport set out to fill.
What We Built
· Recovery tracking that celebrates small wins
· A supportive feed of real stories and updates from others healing
· Ability to post, comment, and connect with fellow athletes
· Personal profiles to log injuries, milestones, and motivation
· Guided prompts to help users share how they’re feeling
· A space that feels more like a team, not just another health app
How It Works

What We Learned (and Fixed)
Here’s what we improved:
· Story posting felt awkward → Added guided prompts to help users share
· Progress tracking felt unclear → Introduced visual milestones and check-ins
· The community felt empty early on → Highlighted active voices to build momentum
Why It Matters
OuchySport isn’t just an app. It’s a support system.
A place where recovery feels less lonely. Where stories matter. Where healing is shared.
